Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection allows us to inject one spermatozoid into the cytoplasm of the egg. It is used in serious male factors, when the concentration of spermatozoids is very low or exhibit an inadequate mobility or morphology.

It is a laborious technique but it helps to produce embryos even for couples with immobile spermatozoids.

The rest of the process (ovum obtaining and embryonic transfer) is the same as In Vitro Fertilization.
